Lash Lift / Tint Q&A

Yesterday, I went to Lash Lounge Corinth Square to try a service I've heard so much about, and have always wanted to try. If you've followed me for awhile you know that I am a tried and true Babe Lash user, and I love what it's done for my lashes! However, I had heard such great things about a lash lift, that I wanted to try it out!

I am in no way saying lash extensions are a bad thing, I have friends who absolutely love them. I am also not saying I'll never try them, but here are a few reasons I chose a lash lift, over lash extensions:

  • a lash lift does absolutely no damage to your lashes
  • I already like the length of my lashes, I didn't necessarily want longer, just more defined/dramatic
  • there is virtually no upkeep/maintenance required with a lash lift
  • you can still use lash serums after doing a lift
  • more of a natural look

How much is it?

Prices on lash lift/tints vary depending on where you go, but if you're local to KC, I highly recommend The Lash Lounge Corinth Square, which is where I went! They charge:

Lash lift: $75

Lash tint: $25

However, if you mention "KaleKouture20", you can get 20% off! This makes the service $80 total, which is so much cheaper than paying for lash extensions!

Does it cause any damage to your lashes?

None!

How long does it take?

45 mins to an hour if you do both the lift and tint! If you only do the lift it takes 30 minutes.

How Long does it last?

Lash Lift: 8 weeks

Lash Tint: 6 weeks

How do you care for them?

There is no upkeep with a lift/tint. You can't get them wet for the first 24 hours, but after that you can wash your face/eyes like normal, you can wear mascara, etc. You care for them the same way you would without a lash lift!

What does it feel like?

The lift itself does not hurt at all. It's a little bit of a weird sensation to have someone messing with your eyelashes for 30 minutes, but it's not painful at all. I eventually fell asleep!

The tint was a little bit uncomfortable for me but it lasted less than 10 minutes start to finish, and you can have them rinse the tint early if you feel like its too uncomfortable! Your eyes are sensitive in general, so the dye can just make them sting a little bit! I would still do it again, it's temporary and completely normal!

Can you tell a difference?

100% yes! The before and after pictures are below.

Will you do it again?

Absolutely yes! I love the way they look!

During the lift:

Before/After

Note: your eyes are sensitive (some more than others) so they will most likely look red and irritated when you're done! That is totally normal. My eyes were back to normal within 10 minutes of leaving!
