Sugar Cookie Dip

If you don't know the magic of cookie dough dip by now, you haven't been following for long enough. Click here for the OG CDD, and most popular recipe on the blog in 2021.

Obviously, since the first dip was such a huge success, my MO is to recreate it based on season. I only change an ingredient or two just to keep things easy! I also want to keep the ingredient list small, so my goal is always to swap one or two ingredients that really change the flavor profile, while keeping everything we already love!

So, let's get into it!

What You'll Need

Recipe Notes

  • There is a very small risk in consuming raw flour, but if you are concerned, warm your cake mix in the microwave for 1 minute (until it reaches 165 degrees) before using it in this recipe. This is called heat treating. I would suggest letting it cool for 20 minutes after that so that it can cool fully. But the recipe will turn out just the same, it’s just an added step if you need some peace of mind!

  • The extract in this recipe is not make or break, but it will get you closer to an authentic sugar cookie flavor if you incorporate it!

  • If you can't find almond extract, try cake batter or butter extract! Both would be good swaps.

  • If sugar cookie kisses aren't available to you, you can do white chocolate chips!

  • Using a stand mixer is the easiest way this recipe comes together, but if you're in a pinch, you can mix by hand! It'll just require a little elbow grease.

What you can serve this with

  • strawberries

  • graham crackers

  • cinnamon graham crackers

  • cinnamon sugar pita chips

  • vanilla wafers

  • wafer cookies

  • teddy grahams

  • pretzel sticks

  • pretzel crisps
