Budget Friendly Holiday Kitchen Decor
I have never been one to go crazy when it comes to decorating for the holidays, but now that we're in our new home, I was so excited to decorate.
If you know me, or have followed for any length of time, you know I'm a bargain shopper. Christmas decor is no different. Everything I bought this year was extremely affordable, and is either from Target, Homegoods, Hobby Lobby, or Kirklands.
As much as I would love to spend an afternoon buying holiday decor in Crate and Barrel, I'd rather pay my mortgage. One day!
I've linked everything I could possibly find online, and even if something I had was out of stock or unavailable, I linked something similar!
Wreaths
The wreaths look so much more complicated than they are! They were so easy. I bought 12 inch wreaths ( I linked a ton of cheap options below! ) as well as clear fishing wire (Hobby Lobby) and clear command hooks to hang them.
I put the command hooks at the top of my cabinets, on the front, but I know some people like to hang them from the inside of the cabinet so you don't see the hooks. They're clear and hard to see anyway, so this didn't bother me! I also didn't want to mess with hanging them from inside the cabinet. It makes it so much harder to adjust when you're trying to get them to the desired height.
I then cut clear fishing wire and tied a huge loop around my wreath so I had a ton of extra wire to work with and adjust as needed. I then hung the wreaths to the height I wanted, and did this over and over again until they matched!
I'm sure there's a more mathematical way to do this, but this was quick and easy and it worked for me! I also know some people just hang the wreath on the command hook itself so they don't have to mess with fishing wire. But my cabinets are really tall so this wouldn't have looked right for me. If you have shorter cabinets this is definitely an option!
