White Chocolate Raspberry Protein Balls

These protein balls never get old to me. I eat them every single week, I just swap out the flavor each week to try something new and change things up! They are 100% better than Perfect Bars if you ask me, and they're so much cheaper.

When I eat them

I get asked frequently when the best time is to eat protein balls/snacks, and the truth is, there is no right or wrong time! You can eat them whenever! I eat them for a pre workout snack, post workout snack, a mid morning snack at school, and sometimes as a night cap to curb my sweet tooth. It's totally up to you!

I will say that probably my favorite time of day to eat them is mid morning. I'm usually pretty hungry mid morning when I'm at school. My kids eat a snack around 10:00, so that's when I typically eat a protein ball!

The best part about these protein balls is that they're packed full of protein and healthy fats, to keep you full and satisfied until your next meal. I always think, "I should make these bigger next time" yet they keep me full until lunch time every single day without fail!

Protein

The protein powder you use in a protein ball recipe is actually really, really important. Trust me when I say, I’ve tried them all and they are not all created equally.

Some get extremely clumpy and/or gritty when you combine them with other ingredients. Some don’t melt seamlessly with the peanut butter, some are chunky, etc. There are a lot of reasons certain protein powders don’t work; all you need to know is that I only use ONE!

The vanilla protein powder I use for all of my recipes is the best protein powder I’ve ever used. It works well in any recipe I’ve ever tried it in, it doesn’t dry things out, and the flavor is amazing. I could go on, just trust me.

I have taken the guess work out of trying tons of powders and brands, because once you try IheartMacros, you’ll never go back.

This powder was created for people who have a hard time digesting protein (many people have a whey protein intolerance without even knowing it) so it’s super easy on your stomach if you’ve ever had issues with that!

I have yet to have a single person tell me they didn’t love this protein and that is rare when it comes to protein powders!

White Chocolate Raspberry Protein Balls

This recipe is a white chocolate raspberry spin on the OG protein ball. The white chocolate raspberry flavor makes this protein ball extra special, and combines two of my favorite things! The sweetness of the white chocolate pairs perfectly with the tartness of the freeze dried raspberries. These protein balls take less than 20 minutes to throw together, and will give you two week's worth of protein balls to store in your fridge to have on hand and ready to go!

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter

  • 4 Tbsp honey

  • 2 scoops vanilla protein powder

  • 1 bag Trader Joes freeze dried raspberries (1.2 ounces)

  • 2 Tbsp white chocolate chips

  1. Microwave the peanut butter and honey for 1 minute, then whisk together.

  2. Fold in the protein powder until thoroughly combined and not clumpy! Mix quickly.

  3. Then add in your raspberries!

  4. Refrigerate mixture for 5-10 mins so that the batter can firm up/won't melt the white chocolate chips!

  5. Add in white chocolate chips.

  6. Use a cookie dough scoop to make 15-16 even bites, place on wax paper.

  7. Refrigerate until you’re ready to eat!
