Air Fried Salmon, 4 Ways

You know the drill around here, we only do things quick and easy! And that's what this how to is! You can't even call it a recipe, trust me.

I hate to say it but salmon intimidates me, I don't even know why. I really didn't start eating it until a few years ago when Taylor's dad started making it for us on the grill. But aside from grilling, we really don't make it all that often. I always assume it's going to take a lot of time, but it doesn't! The key is, buying the BBQ cut filets. Perfect for quick and easy single servings!

There are obviously so many different ways to make salmon, but air frying and using the grill are really the only two methods I have experience with! But now that I've realized how easy it is to air fry, I'm going to start experimenting more!

Below are my four favorite ways to top, and air fry salmon!

Salmon

There are obviously a ton of different places you can buy salmon, but in my experience, two of my favorite places to buy from are Aldi and Trader Joes. I love them for two reasons.

Both Trader Joes and Aldi have the individual filets that make it easy to prepare only a couple filets at a time. I like that you can do a single serving if you're only cooking for one, too! If we're grilling, we get the giant filet from Costco, but this is the easiest way to go if you're air frying!

I also love Aldi and TJ because they're so affordable. Fresh seafood is expensive, but you can find salmon for under $10 at both Aldi and Trader Joes. They're also really great quality. You do not have to spend $20 for a tiny filet at Whole Foods to get good quality salmon.

Air Fryer

Our air fryer actually isn't sold anymore, but I'm linking the one that we're in the market for! Air fryers should not break the bank by any means! Trust me when I say they all do the same thing. The simpler, the better IMO. Less ways for me to mess it up/break it.

What You Need

You'll need the salmon of course, but you won't need all of the other ingredients, just one! These are my four favorite ways to top salmon!

Recipe

Air Fried Salmon

This is more of a how to, not so much a recipe, but it's delicious no matter how you do this! A super easy weeknight meal option. Just pair with a carb source and a veggie and you have a delicious and healthy meal in less than 15 minutes!

  • 1 BBQ cut salmon filet

  • 1 Tbsp topping of choice: ranch seasoning, bang bang sauce, jalepeno artichoke dip, chili lime seasoning!

  1. I always start by turning my air fryer on just to give it time to warm up before I put the salmon in.

  2. Defrost your salmon first, if needed!

  3. Layer on your topping of choice.

  4. Spray your air fry basket with cooking spray and place the salmon in skin side down.

  5. Air fry at 400 for 12-15 minutes, or until crispy!
