Taylor's Infamous Boneless Wings

I want to preface by saying that I've had so many of you ask about this recipe that I hope it gets the attention it deserves, and that I start seeing remakes of this ASAP.

Much like other recipes on this blog, to even call it a recipe is somewhat of a stretch, and that's not just me downplaying this because Taylor came up with it.

It is the easiest recipe ever, and it requires a whopping TWO ingredients total. But after the amount of messages I received after I started kidding about posting this, you guys convinced me that it deserved permanent real estate here on the blog.

The Chicken

The funny part about this is that I just had someone ask me if/when I was going to start posting more recipes with protein other than chicken. I guess it's safe to say today is not that day.

The chicken you use for this really doesn't make that much difference, but I will tell you that of any frozen chicken we've ever used, this brand is phenomenal.

The brand is called "Just Bare" and we get them in the frozen section of our Costco, but I'm linking their store locator here so that you can find them in a store near you!

We use the "Lightly Breaded Chicken Chunks" and they are so good, even on their own. But in this recipe .. chef's kiss. Incredible. All white meat, really high quality chicken.

Air Fryer / Oven

We use our air fryer for this recipe, just because I do feel like it makes them better/crispier. But if you don't have one, you can definitely use your oven and they'll come out just fine!

We air fry them for about 20 minutes, until they're extra crispy, but you can do them for as long as you want to!

If you're using your oven, I would try them at 400 for about 15 minutes. They may need longer, but start with that and keep a close eye on them!

Sauces

If you saw my story a couple of weekends ago when Taylor first came up with this idea, you probably saw us trying out about 5 different sauces.

It's safe to say, nothing you use on these is going to bad. It's just totally up to you and what flavors you like!

Taylor is more of a traditional barbecue guy, and likes the Q39 Barbecue Sauce (we get it at Hyvee). Whereas I like more of a savory parmesan flavor, so I use this Parmesan Alarm sauce (we also got this at Hyvee). They are both fantastic!

Taylor's Infamous Boneless Wings

These wings have become a weekly staple in our house! They're quick and easy, and can be made super macro friendly depending on the sauce you use. They're crispy, they have tons of flavor, and would be a great app for a large crowd the next time you're hosting!

  • 2 cups Just Bare Lightly Breaded Chicken Chunks
  • 1/2-3/4 cup Q39 Barbecue Sauce (use whatever sauce you like!)
  1. Turn on your air fryer preheat to 375 degrees.

  2. Spray your air fryer basket with oil spray, and put your nuggets in for 15-20 mins! We like them extra crispy so we do closer to 20.

  3. As soon as they come out, us a large bowl (or ziplock bag if you're Taylor) to toss the nuggets in the sauce and coat thoroughly.

  4. Let them cool, and enjoy!
